Barrett celebrates 120th Old Settler’s Reunion

Barrett will host the 120th Old Settlers’ Reunion from June 20 to 23, featuring a range of activities and events for all ages. Community members and visitors are invited to participate in this annual celebration.

Thursday, June 20, kicks off with the Prairie Wind Players’ performance of Return to the Forbidden Planet at Roosevelt Hall at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available online or at the door. 

Friday, June 21, features the “Ribs & Bluegrass” event at Rumor Has It from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a street dance with the Honky-Tonk Stardust Cowboys from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk near the West Central Area Secondary School courtesy of the Barrett Fire Department. 

Additionally, all-town garage sales will be ongoing throughout the day, and a bean bag tournament at Barrett Inn 2½ will start at 6:00 p.m. Plinko will be available from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
