Knights wrestling goes 2-1 with wins over MAHACA, NYM

In two competitions last week, the Knights wrestling team had a record of 2-1. At New York Mills, WCA/A/BE took down NYM 39-28 and lost to Osakis 37-21 at the NYM triangular Dec. 12. They then made the trip to Hancock and earned a 51-14 blowout win over MAHACA Dec. 14.

The Knights handed the hosts a loss in the first dual of the triangular with a 39-28 win.

The match started with a forfeit win for WCA at 107 pounds, but NYM responded back with three straight wins including two pins to take a 15-6 lead over WCA/A/BE.

Another forfeit win for the Knights came at 133 pounds to make it 15-12. NYM extended their lead to nine points with a pin at 139 pounds.

WCA/A/BE finally tied the match back up when Carter Lohse and Kolby Peters both recorded wins.  Carter Lohse earned a pin at 145 pounds and Kolby Peters won 9-8 by decision to make it 21-21. The lead went back to NYM when they had a decision win at 160 pounds to make it 24-21.
