To celebrate Earth Day on April 22, Herman-Norcross students started the Earth Day project by planting flower and vegetable seeds. Then, they called some local businesses to ask for donations of pots, dirt, and flowers. They went to the Traverse County Care Center, in Wheaton, to plant the flowers with the residents, and also planted flowers and tomatoes with the residents at the Pullman House in Herman. After planting with the residents, the students picked up trash surrounding their school. They picked up five bags of garbage. Now the school will look tidy! Herman-Norcross students hope this motivates you to take care and love the earth. Photo submitted by teachers Summer Dobratz and Jessica Linman
