Around 100 gun rights advocates attended Saturday’s town hall meeting in Dalton with State Representative Jeff Backer (R-9A) Representative Tom Murphy (R-9B) and State Senator Jordan Rasmussan (R-9). The Town Hall opened with a prayer thanking God for founding this country based on Biblical principles, then outlined five bills they claimed Democrats were “jamming” through the State House. They claimed these bills are unconstitutional, including the two with the best chance of passage: Universal Background Checks, and Red Flag Confiscation Orders.
Under House File #14/ Senate Fill #1116,Universal Background checks would be required for all firearm transfers, including auctions and private sales.
