The West Central Area Homecoming Week starts Sunday. Homecoming is Friday Oct. 6 in Barrett with a 6 p.m. kickoff versus the visiting Benson Braves.
The week’s events leading up to it are plentiful and sure to appeal to young and old alike.
The week commences with Coronation. Class representatives of the secondary school classes don their fancy duds and we crown a brand new King & Queen on Sunday night at 7 p.m.
Volleyball takes center stage on Tuesday as WCA takes on BOLD, and again on Thursday as the Knights host their highway 55 rival Minnewaska.
Wednesday night Junior and Senior girls vie for gridiron glory in the Powder Puff football game. The Homecoming bonfire will burn after the game on the edge of the track.
WCA welcomes the return of the Homecoming parade. Friday afternoon each class will present their float before the entire student body prior to the Pepfest in the football grandstand.
