
Annette Fagerberg, 55, mother, sister and aunt, of Paynesville, formerly of New Hope, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Centra Care Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. A Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake with Dr. Eugene Boe officiating. Interment at West Elbow Lake Cemetery, rural Elbow Lake.
Annette was the youngest of five children, born to Merle and Lois (Rosin) Fagerberg on November 23, 1966, in Elbow Lake, MN. She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith on January 15, 1967 and confirmed at Zion Free Lutheran Church in Dalton, MN in 1982 by her father, and continued her strong faith with God for the rest of her life.
Annette graduated High School in 1985 and graduated from Association Free Lutheran Bible School in 1987. She was active with choir and theater throughout her high school and college years. Annette went on to receive her Associate Degree for Ultrasound Technology in 1997.
Annette was blessed with four sons, Philip Wire, Alexander “Beans” Wire, Theodore “Teddy” Eggen and Benjamin Eggen. She devoted every day to giving them love and guidance to become the men they are today. She was our loving mother to comfort in all things, but also the rock to show us right from wrong.
Annette is survived by her four sons; brother, Paul (Barb) Fagerberg; sisters, Karen Melo, Cheryl (Gary) Taylor, Beth Reich, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, David Melo and a number of other family members.
Memorials are preferred to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are with the Erickson-Smith Funeral Home in Elbow Lake.
