
Bonnie Jean Leraas, 70, of Barrett, MN passed away on February 7, 2023.
Funeral services will be held in June. The family will notify loved ones when a service is scheduled.
Bonnie was born on June 22, 1952, in Fergus Falls, MN to Gordon and Betty Leraas. She attended school in Barrett, MN and went on to obtain a clerical degree in Alexandria, MN. In 1974 she began working at the Douglas County Developmental Achievement Center in Hoffman, MN where she remained employed until her retirement in 2019. Bonnie was an active member of the community who enjoyed spending time participating in the Prairie Wind Players theater group, Grant County Historical Society Board, Immanuel Church Building Association, Pauline Fjelde Daughters of Norway Lodge, Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, and the Barrett Civic and Commerce committee. She was also an active member of Lincoln Lutheran Church where she particularly enjoyed working with youth.
Bonnie is survived by her son Jesse (Tammy) Leraas, daughter Jenny Leraas; 5 grandchildren: Noah, Hannah, Jack, Amelia, and Benjamin Leraas; sisters, LouAnn (Tom) Benham, Linda (Steve) Ray, Cheryl (Wayne) Nelson, and Lynette (Marc) Moen; 7 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews; and 1 great-great nephew.
Preceding her in death were her parents, nephew, Jason Ray, and great nephew, Tenney Little.
