Wilma Ann Klaahsen, age 76, of the Barrett Assisted Living, passed away on September 14, 2023.
Wilma was born on August 30, 1947, to Ben and Lena Klaahsen in Morris, MN. Wilma and her family lived on a farm in Hoffman, MN. She attended the school in Hoffman and graduated from Hoffman High School in 1965. Wilma went on to attend the Wadena Technical School where she majored in the accounting program. Wilma spent her entire working career in the Minneapolis area.
Wilma loved living in the city and spending time with her friends. There was never a shortage of laughs or activities when she was with Lynn and Linda. However, her heart was always “back home”, and after her retirement, she moved back to Hoffman to be close to her family. She loved spending time with her siblings and her many nieces and nephews. Wilma was the aunt that always had a smile, hug, and time for a story. She truly cherished her time with family. Wilma’s faith was also an important part of her life and she was most recently a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church of Elbow Lake.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Ben & Lena Klaahsen. She is survived by her seven siblings, eighteen nieces and nephews and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Evangelical Free Church on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
