Zona Mae Meis was born to Kenneth and Viola (Huseth) Ritzschke on December 19, 1940 in Sanford Township, Grant Co, MN. She was raised by her mother Viola and step-father Lowell Meis in Elbow Lake, MN where she was also baptized, confirmed, and attended school. Zona met the love of her life, Dale Jacobson, through friends. They were married on September 14, 1957 and just recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. Following their marriage, they established a homestead in Morris, and welcomed 3 children: Tamra, Michael, and Curtis.

She enjoyed listening to Elvis, dancing, watching the races, and wintering in FL with Dale for many years. Most importantly, Zona loved her family dearly. She cherished the time she spent with them, especially going to her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities.

Zona passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2024, at her home in Morris, surrounded by her family. She was 83 years old.
