
The West Central Area / Ashby / Brandon-Evansville wrestling team had a solid season, finishing 20-8 overall, clinching sixth at the Class A State Tournament and sending seven more to the individual state tournament.
The Knights opened the season 7-0 and took runner-up at the Grant County Invitational, first at the 18-team Monticello Tournament and 13th out of 58 teams at Rumble on the Red in Fargo.
After streaking to seven wins in a row in early 2023, the Knights suffered their first losses of the dual season to Pequot Lakes / Pine River-Backus and Canby.
WCA/A/B-E bounced back with four wins before losing by fifth criteria to United, after which the Knights closed out the dual season 5-3 before going 3-0 in the Section 6A Team Tournament and 1-2 at the Class A State Tournament.
