Taylor Bennett and Roman Mihailovschi led the West Central Area Knights cross country teams with top 15 finishes at the Little Crow Invitational Thursday, Sept. 15, in Spicer.
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta junior Hailey Werk was able to pull away to win the varsity girls race, made up of 91 runners, in 20:26.3. West Central Area’s Taylor Bennett finished 13th in 22:22.8.
In the boys’ race Sauk Centre’s Brandon Kampsen won the race in 16:06.2. Mihailovschi led the Knights with an 18:31.1, which was good for 14th place out of 115 runners.
