The West Central Area track and field team had just one athlete qualify for the Class A State Championships. Terina Blascyk was the only Knight competing at St. Michael-Albertville High School June 6 in the girls high jump competition. Blascyk finished the competition in a tie for 12th.

Blascyk was able to move on to state by finishing fourth in the Section 6A Championships with a leap of 5’ 1’’.

At state, the girls high jump took place on June 6 and was forced to be moved indoors due to excessive winds. Blascyk was able to match her section height by clearing 5’ 1’’ to finish in a tie for 12th. McKaylen Lewis from Math and Science Academy won the high jump with a leap of 5’ 5’’.

It was a great way for Blascyk to cap off her senior season as a member of the West Central Area track and field team to place 12th at state.
