The Saints needed at least one win Aug. 12 to make it to the MBA State Tournament. They were able to take down the No. 1 seed Clinton in the elimination bracket finals 4-2 to advance to the finals and punch their ticket to State. Their day was not over and they played two games in the finals against the Minneota Mudhens. Dumont needed to win twice to take the Region 9C crown. They pulled off a 4-3 win in the first game 4-3 in 11 innings, but lost in the deciding game 8-3. The Saints played a total of 31 innings Aug. 12 and while they did not win Region 9C, they are headed back to the MBA State Tournament where they will play Kimball in Litchfield Aug. 18.
