The WCA JV boys basketball team played an intense style of ball on both offense and defense leading to their 19-3 record.

The WCA JV Knights had a successful campaign in 2021-2022. They compiled 19 wins and three losses during the season. Everyone who played gave excellent effort and came a step closer to becoming a varsity basketball player.
The Knights averaged 58 p/g and gave up 35 p/g. That’s an amazing margin of victory of 23 p/g. They accomplished this by using multiple full court and half court defenses. They played an up tempo brand of basketball which led to many transition baskets. The team executed well in the half court when called upon as well.
Nine players on the team averaged between four and seven points per game. This balance shows the unselfishness and teamwork they played with. Eighteen different players found time on the court during the season. Each of these players worked hard on their individual games and learned valuable team concepts.
These players have not only become better basketball players, but better people, by accepting their roles on a team. Not everyone is the star, but everyone is important to the success of the team. They learned to put their best foot forward even if it wasn’t the role they wanted. Congratulations to each of them on a fine season.
Thank you to the parents, fans, trainers, managers, custodial staff, administration, and everyone else who supported the team.
