Knight boys keep up their winning ways in Ortonville

The WCA boys shot a score of 355 on Monday, May 10, to take first place in Ortonville. Other team scores were Hillcrest 367, Ortonville 379, Underwood 385, OTC 394, Border West 396, and Ashby-Incomplete team score

Scores for the Knights were Grant Beuckens 85, Mitch Dewey 87, Peyton Hansen 90, Marshall Dewey 93, Tate Christenson 100, and Sam Hanson 110.

Individual medalists were Trevor Swanger, Underwood, with a 74; WCA’s Grant Beuckens was second with an 85; third-Carter Dilly, OTC, with an 85; fourth-Bryce Grabinsky, Hillcrest, with an 86; fifth-Joel Quam, Hillcrest, with an 86; sixth-Owen Longnecker, Ortonville, with an 86.

WCA JV boys traveled to Long Prairie for a meet on Monda, May 10, and took first place as a team. Devon Benson placed first and Spencer Engen took fifth place individually.

WCA boys and girls also competed at Graceville where the boys took third place and the girls took home the team victory. Five girls took home medals with Annie Engen leading the way in second place followed by Alyssa Eyestad, Chloe Hagen, Jenna Lang and Steph Reeve taking third through sixth.

WCA JV boys and girls golfed in Ortonville on Tuesday where the boys took third place and the girls took second. The girls missed taking home first place by two strokes.

The JV teams will finish out their year on Friday after a strong season with a fun scramble at Tipsinah Mounds.
