After their season opener was pushed back, the West Central Area baseball team was finally able to get on the field when they traveled to Breckenridge to take on the Cowboys April 4. The Knights tried to shake off some rust in their first game, but Breckenridge was too much as they took down the Knights 12-0 in just four and a half innings.

After a strikeout with the leadoff batter, Dane Anderson recorded the first hit in the game for WCA, but the next two batters were retired to end the top of the first. That one hit would be half of the total hits for WCA in the game.

The Cowboys exploded in the bottom of the first inning with seven runs to take a commanding 7-0 advantage after just one inning of play.
