The West Central Area volleyball team (13-6, 5-5 WCC) dropped its second straight match by a 3-0 score in the West Central Conference action Tuesday, Oct. 4, in Barrett. The Dutchmen swept the Knights in three tight sets 25-21, 28-26, 25-22.
“We had our chances in each set,” WCA head coach Melissa Foslien said. “We are going through a slump right now mid-season. I think teams have figured out how to play against us, and who they need to focus on. We need to adjust, we need to work hard and still do the things we know we can do and do them well. It’s not going to get any easier.”
Macy Grosz had 31 assists and Addison Staples had a team-high 14 kills for WCA.
“Addison Staples had a great game at the net,” Foslien said. “She came in swinging hard and aggressively. We know that tipping isn’t going to win games. You have to be able to execute plays.”
