Rumble on the Red

The Knights brought eight varsity wrestlers to compete in the Rumble on the Red at the Fargodome in Fargo. It was a two-day tournament with 75 different teams represented. WCA/A/BE was not a part of the team competition, but the five boy and three girl Knight participants did compete as individuals.

Solomon Wales led the Knights as the only wrestler to place. He competed at 160 pounds and finished eighth with a 3-3 record. He had major decision wins in each of his first two matches, both by a score of 8-0. Solomon Wales then lost in the quarterfinals by being pinned. He got back on track with a 7-3 decision win in the consolation bracket, but then lost by sudden victory and major decision to finish eighth.
