The Warrior volleyball team was able to earn a win during homecoming week for their home fans with a 3-0 sweep over Henning Sept. 19 in Wheaton. The Warriors finished the week with another home match against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Sept. 21 where the comets took down W/H-N 3-0.

The Warriors may have pulled off a sweep against Henning, but it was by no means a blow out. W/H-N never won a set by more than four points, but snuck by in all three sets to secure a sweep.
In the first two sets of the contest, the Warriors went back and forth with Henning, but earned 25-21 wins in the first two sets to go up 2-0.
In the third set, Henning did not want to go away. In a set that seemed to last forever, the Warriors finally secured the 31-29 win to finish the sweep.
The Warriors spread the ball around pretty well on offense. Reagan Spilde led the team with 13 kills, Sadie Vipond and Madison Koch chipped in with eight kills and Claire Rinke smacked six. The setting duties were a team effort for W/H-N. Jordyn Perry led the team with 14 assists and Rinke also chipped in with 13 assists. Mallory Peyton added six helpers and Madison Koch tallied four.
