The West Central Area boys basketball team competed and took first in the team’s first summer series Breakdown tournament the weekend of June 23, in St. Michael-Albertville.
“The bracket was all Class AA, AAA, and AAAA schools but the Knights, Class A, came out on top as Champions,” WCA coach Kraig Hunter posted on the team’s Facebook page.
The Knights competed against an eight-team championship bracket that included North Branch, Melrose, St. Peter, Southwest Minnesota Christian, Elk River, Austin and Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.
