The West Central Area girls basketball team held its year-end banquet last week to celebrate a season where the Knights finished fifth with a 4-8 record in the West Central Conference and 10-14 overall. It was the first season under new head coach Becca Holland.
The West Central Conference announced its all-conference list recently and three Knights were honored. Claire Stark and Macy Grosz earned all-conference honors while Addison Staples was named honorable mention.
Stark was the most consistent shooter on the team this season, connecting at a 55.2 percent clip. She surpassed the 1,000-point milestone this season while also leading the Knights on the glass with nine rebounds per game. She was awarded the Defensive Boards Leader for the Knights this season as she tallied nearly six defensive boards per game. She also tallied two blocks per game.
