West Central Area and Border West got a sneak peak at the West Central Conference meet venue when they competed in the Benson/KMS meet in Benson on Oct. 9. The WCA girls had a great showing in Benson and finished second as a team and for the boys, Carter Kjesbo earned first place in the race.
In the girls meet, West Central Area finished the meet in second with 70 points. The Knights were 31 points behind the winners, New London-Spicer.
Kyra Beyer led the Knights with a fifth place finish and a time of 20:38. Nora Anderson was just under a minute later in 11th. Terina Blascyk and Blaire Rueter finished right next to each other. Blascyk was in 16th with a time of 21:57 and Rueter was two seconds later in 17th. Chloe Hagen came in 28th with a time of 23:19. Skylar LaRue ran a time of 23:27 to finish 30th. Alexa Blume crossed the line in 24:19 to place 38th.
