The Knights did not start the season off on a particularly good note, losing four of the first five matches. Since then, WCA has been able to turn their play around and with two wins this week, extend their current winning streak to seven matches. WCA was on the road twice this week, in Melrose Sept. 26 and in Morris Sept. 28. The Knights pulled off two 3-1 wins over the Dutchmen and Tigers to improve to 13-6 overall and 7-3 in the West Central Conference.

The Knights came into the game against the Dutchmen riding a five-match winning streak, but the Dutchmen had won each of their last seven contests. The WCA winning streak was the only one to survive as the Knights were able to get out of Melrose with a 3-1 win.
